When giving a speech at a wedding or a funeral, they say to..
1) Tell happy stories
2) Keep it to a reasonable length
3) End with a fond memory and positive outlook
The truth is, I’m having a really really hard time writing this. This was the last time I saw a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel from Elm City. If I knew this was going to be it, then maybe I would have taken a better photo. I was raised on this sandwich. It taught me that if you are going to do something, do it right. Wish we could have just one more day together so that I could say thank you and goodbye.
This day was magic. I can still feel the weight of the bag in my hand as we drove to the skatepark in Turners Falls. Just a beautiful weekend with great weather. We even found the ATLiens album at “Turn it up!” and looped it between sessions. So to quote André 3000 I’ll leave you with this..
“Softly as if I played piano in the dark
Found a way to channel my anger now to embark”
